The Dent Schoolhouse is located off of Interstate 74 in western Cincinnati. This building has been around since the late 1800s but didn't become an official haunted attraction until the late 1990s. Yes, it is an actual schoolhouse, and the story of the killer janitor is true. You may find that this place is truly haunted in more ways than one. Along with a hauntingly scary walk through the school, each ticket provides entrance to the outdoor Queen City Slaughteryard behind the school.
This isn't your run-of-the-mill haunted house; they have over 50 live actors that will indeed scare you. Sometimes the actors come right up to you or brush past you, but they won't grab you. With new sets, animatronics, and technological upgrades, The Dent Schoolhouse is constantly changing to bring you new scares every year. This is the top haunted house in the area and has been a Halloween tradition for many of the locals.
